Behind the Scenes of Our First Ever Event
Hosting our very first event was both exciting and a little nerve-wracking but honestly, it turned out better than we could have hoped. We thought we’d share a little behind-the-scenes look at how it all came together, the ups and downs of the prep, and the highlights from the day itself.
We started by reaching out to people directly calling, sending invites, and spreading the word through social media. As the event drew closer, we kept the momentum going with follow-up calls and reminder emails just days before. We also posted on Eventbrite, where a good few people signed up, and had some great interest come through Instagram as well.#
In the end, People showed up and it was such a great mix. We connected with investors, landlords, potential buyers, and even people who were simply curious about Dubai as a place to live. A lot of guests were amazed by the communities available there, and you could feel the genuine excitement in the room.
Of course, the prep leading up to the day was a journey of its own. We wanted everything to feel special, so we went all in: personalised merch, branded tote bags, a refreshed office space (yes, we even moved furniture around to get it just right), and models and banners from DAMAC to bring the vision to life. It was hectic at times, but also a lot of fun the kind of busy that leaves you smiling at the end of the day.
One of our favourite moments actually happened before the event itself: we took the DAMAC team out for dinner. It wasn’t just about finalising plans, it was about building relationships, sharing laughs, and creating memories that will definitely carry forward into future collaborations.
On the day, the energy was amazing. The conversations flowed, people learned a lot, and so did we. Seeing everything come together, from the prep, to the turnout, to the feedback it was such a rewarding experience.
Looking back, what stood out most wasn’t just the numbers or the logistics, but the sense of community that filled the room. It reminded us why we do what we do to bring people together, to spark curiosity, and to help turn ideas of living and investing in Dubai into real opportunities. That energy is something we’ll carry with us into everything we plan next.
Overall, our first event was a success. We walked away not only with new connections but also with lessons that will make our next one even better. And most importantly, we had the chance to bring people together around something we’re truly passionate about.
